 Bio
  - tell us about yourself
He was born as C.J., which the nickname eventually lead to Ceeej, as his family and friends would sometimes call him, pronounced like "siege." DJ Ceeej comes from Northridge, CA, in the San Fernando Valley. Ceeej always dreamed of being a DJ. This was the result of listening to radio DJ’s scratch and mix on Power 106. The main DJ’s that got him interested in DJing includes famous DJs such as: DJ E-man, DJ Hideo, DJ Vice, DJ Enrie, DJ Echo, The Baka Boyz, Mr. Choc, and DJ Coke-E. As a young kid, he would practice playing music with his boom box at his family parties, while him and cousins would try to practice the hip hop element of break dancing. He even recorded countless hours of his favorite DJ’s mixing on air. While entering the 8th grade, Ceeej and his cousins decided to pursue DJing. Ceeej saved his money for a few months and eventually bought his first set of turntables. At a young age in 2003, his ambition started to grow. Ceeej started his own mobile DJ service. Since then he started DJing at many parties and events. In 2006, Ceeej decided to get very serious about his work. In 2006 alone, DJ Ceeej had more gigs and gained more money from DJing then in the past three years combined. Ceeej started practicing the art of DJing more than ever. He found himself DJing at more house parties then he ever had in his life. One of his highlights was DJing at a Power 106 Summer Splash concert with Empressa Motors in Long Beach in August of 2006. Various artists such as Sean Paul, Christina Milian, Kelis, Baby Bash, and Paula DeAnda performed at this concert. In 2007, Ceeej found himself doing at least one mobile gig every weekend. He also started DJing more for fraternities and sororities, while creating more of a buzz for himself in the college scene. Towards the end of the year, when he finally turned 18 years old, Ceeej was a guest DJ for various clubs including the very popular Club S.I.N. at Cinespace in Hollywood. Ceeej also gained his first residency at the Blue Nile Hookah Lounge in Northridge. He would usually spin at the Blue Nile on their very popular Thursday College Nights, and occasionally on weekends. This also led to another guest DJ appearance at Shag Nightclub in Hollywood. In August of 2008, Ceeej became a familiar face to Macy’s employees, while DJ Ceeej became an In-store DJ at the Topanga Mall. This residency eventually led to two more residencies at Element and Joseph’s Café in Hollywood. So far this year, Ceeej is already off to an astonishing start, while DJing at an average of 8 to 10 events per month. He also added another residency at Blue Ultra Lounge in Agoura Hills. While also DJ-ing for events by world renowned energy drink company, Red Bull. As time goes by, the ever increasing demand for DJ Ceeej is rapidly increasing. His style of mixing and unique music selection makes him very much sought after. Ceeej has even attained three sponsorships by established clothing lines: Urb Zoo, SHWA, and Lines Clothing. Ceeej says his goals include DJing alongside his many DJ inspirations and other big name Hip Hop artists. In addition, he is trying to DJ in the best clubs and one day he would like to DJ for LA`s Top Hip Hop Station, Power 106. DJ Ceeej is currently practicing and mastering the art of DJing, as he continues to develop his DJ Career to the next level.
